Easy Start Violin is a beginner violin course designed to build confidence from the very beginning. 
This course focuses on creating strong foundations through relaxed posture, balanced bow use, and a clear understanding of rhythm. 
Each lesson introduces simple, achievable steps that help new players feel comfortable with the instrument while developing good habits that will support future progress.

Students begin by learning how to hold the violin and bow correctly, understand the parts of the instrument, and produce clear sounds on open strings. 

Gradually, basic rhythm patterns and bowing control are introduced so students can begin playing with confidence and consistency.

The course encourages calm, focused practice and reminds students that learning the violin is a journey that takes time and patience. 
By moving at a comfortable pace and repeating lessons when needed, students young and old can build strong skills and enjoy the rewarding experience of learning the violin.

In this piece, China Town, we will be playing using a technique called pizzicato. This means that instead of using the bow, the strings are plucked with your finger to create the sound. Pizzicato produces a short, clear tone and is often used in many different styles of music.

For this tune, you will be playing pizzicato on the G and D strings only. These are the two lower strings on the violin. Before starting the piece, take a moment to locate each string and make sure you can clearly see and feel the difference between them.

When playing pizzicato, gently use the first finger of your right hand to pluck the string. Pull the string slightly to the side and release it so it vibrates freely. The movement should feel relaxed and controlled, not forced.

In China Town, we use a technique called pizzicato, which means the strings are plucked instead of bowed. This creates a short, clear sound.
